About Us and Pink Roses

When we realized we were singularly lacking in the talent required to make something astoundingly beautiful (or even a good looking stick figure) and the zillions it would take to buy a beautiful masterpiece, we wondered, “What’s a girl to do when she needs a little sublime beauty and creativity in her life?”

So, like those before us with the same challenge, we turned to the most prodigious source of beauty ever known -- Mother Nature! We dug in, in every sense, and found the iconic rose and we knew we'd found our answer.

We focus on pink roses because they gave our heart an extra tug. Their gorgeous in every shade - hot pink, light pink, pale pink and pastel pink, just to name a few shades. And we’re a push-over for pink.

But we love a surprise, so in our garden we tuck-in an occasional gorgeous red rose, like Ingrid Bergman, a classic ivory, such as Honor, and an occasional delicious incorrigible coral shaded rose of the likes of Voodoo.

But our hearts still belong to pink.

Of the two of us, Audrey is the dirt digger. She has been doing garden experiments since she was a girl on the farm and takes endless gardening classes. Her consuming hobby is to transform her home garden more often than she cares to admit. Dee is a pink rose bouquet devotee, a passion she shares with her mother. Together, we have lots of fun.

Our Goal

We still have our day jobs, but always look to rose gardens and gardening as endless wellsprings of peace of mind, quiet for the soul, a bit of well overdue exercise and renewal of the spirit. If you leave PinkRoseDelight.com feeling creative and alive, with information you can use, and impatient to jump outside and into your garden, we've met our goal.

CHEERS So, here's to making beauty everywhere you can while you are digging in the dirt!

All the best green wishes everyday of the gardening year.

Audrey and Dee
