Create a Bouquet

So you want to create a bouquet? Why not? A dramatic flower arrangement can be breathtaking. You start with beautiful flowers and resplendent greens, and arrange them in a gorgeous arrangement that becomes a centerpiece in your home, and a topic of many many conversations. And you can look modest and accept all those gushing compliments -- "Oh really? You made that?"...

There are many many types of flower arrangements, such as bouquets, Ikebana arrangements, baskets, wreaths, and so on. Here, we are focusing on bouquets. Alternate between these at different times, and you can keep things varied and fresh. If you are making several flowers arrangements for a single special occasion, try using one type of arrangement for one purpose (e.g., bouquets for centerpieces on sit-down tables), and another type of arrangement for another purpose (e.g., Ikebana arrangements on the table where food is being served).

Remember that making a bouquet is a creative and artistic effort, and like all such efforts, there is absolutely no right or wrong way to make one. As long as you make a bouquet you like, it is a success. What we have put down here is the way in which we make bouquets. Read through, pick out what suggestions you like, and then throw in your own experimentation and flair to create a bouquet. And most importantly, have fun!
