Pink the Color in the Garden

The color pink makes a statement about a person. When you have something pink, whether it's roses in your garden, pink shoes, a pink purse, a pink laptop, a pink camera... it says something about you.

The color pink speaks to everyone, but everyone hears it saying something different. To us, pink says that you are bold and you are not afraid to be noticed. It says you are sassy and sophisticated.

Pink evokes emotions. It is a delicate yet distinctively strong color. As shown in Spring's show, flowers come in so many beautiful shades of pink.

Around the globe pink means

- Marriage in the East

- Love, babies, especially baby girls, Valentine's Day in the West.

Some say the color pink can sooth the soul and relaxes us.

Shades of Pink

Pink the color has different meanings depending on the shade. Dark pink means gratitude and appreciation;light pink can mean sympathy, joy and desire.

Garden Colors

A pink rose with an underlying tinge of red will really pop with a light shade of green. A lighter shade of pink looks great with darker forest green foliage.

Cool shades show up better with warmer ones and vice versa. To make your roses stand out to the fullest, make sure that there is more of one color, different shades of pink, and some complementary colors too.

For color combination ideas that will make your pink roses shine check out the color wheel. You can make your pink colors sing when you pair them with colors, shades and hues that sit on the other side of the color wheel.
