Queen Elizabeth Rose

What is not to like about the Queen Elizabeth rose? In the United States, they created the Grandiflora category just to accommodate her statuesque size.

AARS 1955

A garden Glamazon, she is a vigorous and prodigious bloomer. Her blooms have tall deep petals and when in full bloom they are glorious and sit straight up and face the sky. Their stems are long and graceful but strong. Provided you have the space (at least 3 feet around) and the sun, if you had to pick one rose for your pink bouquets, this is a great rose.

If I had several daughters and ever thought I would be hosting their weddings in the foreseeable future, I would be out in the back yard planting at least six of these rose bushes and feeding them fertilizer galore, knowing I would have oodles of gorgeous roses that would fill all the wedding vases and bouquets and would leave a delightful fragrant memory.
